Genevieve Flasch Interior Design Inc. (GFID) is a Calgary-based residential interior design firm specializing in custom builds and large-scale renovations. As a second-generation interior designer, Genevieve continues the legacy started by her mother, who graduated from the MRU diploma program in 1976. Thirty years later, Genevieve earned her degree from the same institution, where she also met her husband, a commercial interior designer. After working in the industry as a commercial and residential designer for 7 years, Genevieve opened her business where she has created valuable relationships with trade and supply partners who share her values. With a small but mighty staff of 5, GFID has been fine-tuning processes and standards while designing tailored residences throughout southern Alberta and British Columbia since 2010.
our passion
Interior Design walks the line between creation and logic. Puzzles must be solved and technical details considered while design, beauty, and history are measured against forecasted trends. This juggling act is performed parallel to curating a combination of client desires and custom design solutions. It’s a full-brain profession and an extreme sport for the mind. But that’s why great interior designers love it! They get to conduct a symphony while composing the music. The end result is nothing short of magic.
